The period between the I’m just a Muggle mom that sometimes acts like a witch shirt and summer solstice has been my favorite for as long as I can remember. The blooming purple lilacs and yellow forsythia might also have been part of this beautiful scene, but there was more. It may not have been the death and rebirth symbolism worshiped by so many cultures as the transition from one season of life to new horizons of the next. There was even more than that.
